The F-35 Lightning II is a 5th Generation single-seat, single-engine fighter combining advanced stealth with fighter speed and agility.  The F-35 will replace the A-10 and F-16 for the U.S. Air Force, the F/A-18 for the U.S. Navy, the F/A-18 and AV-8B Harrier for the U.S. Marine Corps, and a variety of fighters for at least ten other countries.  The three F-35 variants will support any of our military needs.  These include the F-35A, conventional take-off and landing (CTOL), the F-35B, short take-off and vertical landing (STOVL), and the F-35C, carrier version (CV).  The current forecast identifies over 1000 aircraft will be manufactured through 2023.

Accurus supports Lockheed Martin (prime contractor) and Northrop Grumman (principal partner) on all three variants of the aircraft.  Lockheed Martin is responsible for the overall program management, forward fuselage, and aircraft final assembly.  Northrop Grumman is responsible for the design, manufacture, and assembly of the center fuselage. Accurus has supported the program since 2004 through the manufacture of detail parts, frame assemblies, and guard door assemblies for both prime contractors.
